Michelle Tillis Lederman, Author of The 11 Laws of Likability:
Sometimes we are blind to our best qualities, even when they are obvious to those around us. Gather information by seeking feedback. Include friends, family, coworkers; ask people who know you well and new or casual acquaintances. Ask questions such as:
- How would you describe me?
- What do you consider my best quality or strength?
- If you could choose just one positive word to describe me – what would it be?
Take the results and compare them with what you think about yourself – look for consistency and see where you feel pride then choose the words that you feel exemplify you.
