It’s more important than ever to create habits around maintaining your online reputation. Luckily, there are some great tools available to make this almost completely automated.

First, every serious professional needs to set up a Google Alert with their name. I set mine up to send me a summary email once a week. This means any time my name is mentioned online, and Google indexes it, I’ll know right away. This will give me time to take corrective measures or in most cases to promote it.
